About Wed

The best wedding recommendations already exist. They just never went anywhere.

Every wedding leaves behind a list of people who were brilliant on the day, and a couple who will happily tell anyone who asks. That knowledge usually stops at a group chat. Wed is what happens when you give it somewhere to go — and pay the couple for the introduction.

Why we built it

Finding wedding suppliers is oddly hard for something so common

You are booking a dozen people you have never met, for a day that has not happened yet, often more than a year ahead. The places you look are mostly directories, and in a directory the supplier at the top is usually the one who paid to be there. Portfolios show the best day someone ever had. Reviews are five stars or nothing.

Meanwhile the thing that actually settles it — a real wedding, at a real venue, where you can see how the room looked and who pulled it off — sits in a private gallery that nobody will ever see again.

Suppliers feel the same problem from the other side. The couples who loved their work are their best salespeople, and there has never been a way for that to reliably turn into the next booking.

The proposition, in one line

Couples share their real wedding, tag the suppliers they used, and earn a flat £40 each time another couple books one of them.

Suppliers get discovered through weddings they genuinely worked on, rather than through paid listings. The couple who made the introduction gets paid for it. Nobody has to bid for attention.

How the marketplace works

One loop, and everyone in it is better off

It only works if all three sides gain something real — the couple sharing, the couple planning, and the supplier.

01

A couple shares their day

Photographs, a few honest words, and the suppliers who made it happen — venue, photographer, florist, band, the lot.

02

The next couple finds it

Instead of a directory of adverts, they see a wedding that looks like theirs and can work backwards to the people behind it.

03

They book a supplier

A booking that starts from real work, for a real couple, at a real venue — so both sides start the conversation already halfway there.

04

The first couple earns £40

A flat £40 for the introduction, every time. Not a percentage, not a mystery, and never taken out of what the supplier is paid.

What we believe

The rules we are building to

These are choices, not slogans — each one costs us something, which is rather the point.

Couples trust couples

The most reliable wedding advice in the country is a friend answering “who did your flowers?”. Everything here is built around that question.

Being found should not be a bidding war

On Wed, a supplier rises because couples tagged them in weddings they actually worked on — not because they paid the most for a slot at the top.

The introduction has a value, so we pay for it

Recommendations already send real money to suppliers. We would rather hand some of that value back to the couple who made the introduction than keep it.

Free for couples, always

No sign-up fee, no listing fee, no cut of anything. Couples only ever earn. Suppliers pay for a profile once they are winning work.

Where we are up to

We are building it now, and opening in Autumn 2026

Wed is a new British company and a new marketplace. We are not going to quote you member counts, glowing press or a wall of logos, because a marketplace at this stage does not honestly have them. What we have is a product being built, a clear idea of who it is for, and suppliers signing up before launch.

Suppliers who join before we open get three months free and keep their founding member benefits as the marketplace grows. Couples can share a wedding that has already happened — if you were married last year, your suppliers are exactly the ones couples are searching for now.

If you want to know something we have not written down here, ask us. We would rather answer a direct question than write a page about our values.

Built on real weddings, starting with yours.

Share the day you had, tag the people who made it, and earn when the next couple books them.
